What goes in each column
- Where The town or city you wake up in, or the stop you move on to that day.
- Getting there The flight, train, bus or ferry, with its times and booking reference, on the day it leaves.
- Where you sleep The name and address, on every night of the stay, so a blank row stands out as a night still to book.
- Plans Anything with a time or a ticket first, then the ideas.
- Who Who’s there that day. Someone arriving late or leaving early shows on their own days.
For a group trip
- Keep one copy for the whole group. In Google Sheets, everyone can edit the same file.
- Fill in “Who” on every row. When friends set off from different cities, write each person’s journey under “Getting there”, with their name.
- Before you go, read down “Where you sleep”: each empty row is a night someone still has to book.
The same plan in tripps
tripps keeps this plan for you, a day at a time, and the group edits it together from one link.
- Forward a booking email or add a screenshot, and smart import puts the journey or stay on the right day, with its times.
- A night with nowhere to stay, or a stop with no journey on, shows up on its day for each person.
- Everyone opens the same link in their browser, without an account, and sees each change as it’s made.

Questions
- What should a daily travel itinerary include?
- For each day: where you are, how you get there, where you sleep, the plans with a time or a ticket, and who’s there. The tripps template has a column for each, and a tripp keeps the same things for each day.
- Can I use the template in Google Sheets or Excel?
- Yes. Download the tripps template as a CSV file and open it in Google Sheets, Excel or Numbers. Each day is a row and each heading is a column.
- How do I plan a group trip day by day?
- Make one plan the whole group can see, with a row for each day and who each journey and stay is for. In tripps, one person starts a tripp and sends the group a link, and everyone sees each change as it’s made.
- Is the template free?
- Yes. The tripps itinerary template is free to print and download, and tripps itself is free too, without an account.
